Blogs and Pages for Your Enlightenment.

Jeff Biggers
huffingtonpost.com/jeff-biggers/
Jeff Biggers is an award wining author of Reckoning at Eagle Creek: The Secret Legacy of Coal in the Heartland, The United States of Appalachia, and In the Sierra Madre. His blogs mostly consist of stories about Civil rights, history in the making and the violations of humane rights and pointing out the truth of the Government in the U.S.

Jeff Biggers is always voicing the silenced voices and the right side of the story. When I read his blog I always feel pleased to see that he is voicing the truth. He backs his stories up with facts and events. It's the truth that everyone seeks, and the truth everyone should know.

"The questions beg:: Have the extremist Arizona politicians and their Tea Party supporters gone too far in their witch hunt of the Ethnic Studies Program, and at what point will the Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice be summoned for an investigation?"

David A. Morales
David A. Morales is the man behind Three Sonorans blog posts. The news being put out is mostly about Arizona and the continuing struggle.

Three Sonorans always is up to date on the Ethnic Studies battle, such as laws like HB 2281 (a law that bans Ethnic Studies from being taught in the Tucson Unified School District). It is always very informative and it never leaves me hanging or confused. I rely on this blog not just because of the information, but the amount of work that's put in it to keep it un-biased.

"Abie, pronounced A-B, believes in applying the tools of math, science, and rational thinking to controversial issues such as politics and religion, and hopes that one day policy will be evidence-based."

Gwaker
Gwaker has everything from music, gossip and actual news. It serves as a good web page to visit if you just want to roam random stories and actually get something out of it.

I like it because it has a little of everything. I am the kind of person that likes reading critical stories but at the same time I like to know about Music. This web blog gives me the option to see either of the two.

"It seemed impossible that Adele could make "Someone Like You" from her billion-selling album 21 sadder than it already was. But the British singer has done it with her new video, above. In black and white, she takes a solitary walk in the most romantic city in the world and sings about confronting a love she'll have to overcome."

The Daily Beast

The Daily Beast was founded in 2008 and used for breaking news and sharp commentary. It is full of news and information that can be accessed 24/7

What I liked about this blog is all of the news and stories it has posted. There is current news about Occupy Wall St. and news that actually matters. It isn't clustered, it is very organized and I can navigate without a problem or without getting frustrated.

"The financial industry has been moving away from downtown New York—and out of America—for years. If anything, these angry, ill-informed, purposeless protesters should be marching on Washington, says Stephen Carter."

Mashable
Mashable  covers all around information. Not just news but technology and how it affects the the society or world we live in. This site is pretty handy and can give you a lot of information and doing what media does best; informs.
