I Am Troy Davis.

Troy Davis was executed yesterday at 11:00 P.M eastern in the state of Georgia. Troy was charged for a crime he didn't do. Despite the fact that 7 of the 9 witnesses changing their testimonies and the constant protests, occupations and petition signing to stop the execution, nothing worked. While you read this article, remember about Casey Anthony case. How white privilege is still an ongoing thing today and innocent people  struggle everyday.

    Mayra, this is a really important story and great that you posted about it. You bring up a really interesting point about white privilege and the Casey (I think?) Anthony case. I want to hear more--can you add a sentence or two explaining? Can you link to a story about that case, in case readers somehow missed that story this summer? "Rest in power"--I love that.
